Schroder (1871-1952) was a zoologist who undertook this journal when Revalo Bund-->Zeitschrift fur psychische Forschung, the leading German parapsychology journals of the time, ceased in 1929, and the new effort mirrored the earlier journals in layout and contributors, although there was no formal connection. It was the organ of Schroder's Institute for Metapsychic Research in Berlin, a small affair run from Schroder's residence. The journal carried the usual articles on psychical research: (ghosts, thinking animals, seances with various mediums, the Shroud of Turin, etc.) and featured articles on more general topics like "Mysticism and Occultism in Germany," "The Wisdom of the Unconscious," etc. Contributions by Erik Jan Hanussen, Gerda Walther, Florizel von Reuter, Alexandra David-Neel (on psychic education in Tibet), et al. At different times the journal bore the title Die Unsichtbare Wirklichkeit and carried as a supplement Mitteilungen der Gesellschaft fu ur metapsychische Forschung.
